Hi my name is Julie Duff and I am the owner of Exeter Sports Massage.
I have always had a keen interest in Sports and Fitness and after attending a Sports Massage to help with a back injury, I found it was really helpful in aiding my recovery and I developed a great interest about how the body works. So I decided I needed a new career and challenge and retrained as a Sports Massage Therapist.
I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in 2008 Level 4 with YMCA fit in London, at the time there were no suitable courses in Devon.
To further my knowledge in health and fitness, I qualified as a Personal Trainer with the Australian Institute of Fitness. On returning to England, I set up my own business working as a Freelance Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. In 2009 I also qualified as a Pilates Instructor with Future Fit Training.
For the first few years I combined all 3 qualifications (Sports Massage, Personal Training & Pilates) but due to an expanding client base I now focus on Massage Therapy.
I regularly update my knowledge by attending CPD courses (Continual Professional Development) including Rock Taping, Medical Acupuncture & Dry Needling as I enjoy learning and keeping up to date with the latest research. I am currently studying with the Movement Education Therapy team in Birmingham to become a Movement Therapist which assists in maintaining health for people of all ages, helping clients to manage pain and reduce the risk of preventable injury.
I am based in Exeter, located just off Topsham Rd with FREE ample parking, my work studio is to the side of my property. I REALLY, REALLY enjoy my work as I thrive on helping people and sharing the knowledge I have built up over that last 15 years, my aim to to always ensure clients feel welcomed and after the treatment they leave feeling better than when they walked in.
